A new venue Large, but not so new

There is a scent of something new in San Bonifacio, or rather something ancient. Returning to the place where, between 2012 and 2019, he consolidated his idea of cuisine and was awarded his first Michelin star, Matteo Grandi fulfills his dream of offering dishes so traditional that, ultimately, they are new< /strong>. If only for the excellence of all the raw materials used, and for the skill with which they are delicately treated, under his guidance, by young chefs who are already expert and passionate.

In the name of joy and simple goodness

A joyful journey marked by the excellence of all the raw materials used, and by the skill with which they are delicately treated by young, already expert and passionate chefs, who grew up under the guidance of Matteo. From vegetables, always in season, from fish, always fresh, from meats, coming from farms that guarantee absolute goodness and healthiness.

The trolley, the true protagonist

Up to the undisputed protagonist of the dinner of the festive days of the past: the legendary “Cart of roasts and boiled meats”, in the regal format, accompanied by its suite of sauces, roots, mustards, and flanked by a puree “comme il faut”. A truly great passion that binds Matteo to Alberto Sgaggero, a young chef at the helm of the kitchen, following Matteo for many years. The origin and supply chain of the meats are always guaranteed, first subjected to a taste test by the chef himself.

In informal but airy and elegant environments

Despite being a place where the watchword is “enjoy”, the attention to the setting does not fail: spaced tables, selective light, white tablecloths, refined crockery, few frills… And in addition a green internal courtyard, to welcome customers in the summer, to give vent to all the exuberance and happiness of an “en plein air” dinner. With attentive service but equally inclined towards joy and enjoyment.

A cuisine that follows the rhythm of the tradition of the seasons

The menu changes with each change of season, always offering the best products that the market offers, in the most classic version, sometimes only slightly lightened. In summer the Meat Cart (boiled and roasted) becomes the Gran Crudi Pesce Cart (ideal in the long hot summer), completing the triptych with the fried Fish of the day and the Fish of the day grilled.

All well watered thanks to small quality producers

As a counterpoint to the menu, there is a targeted wine list, with over 500 references, which favors small, natural, niche producers who are very well selected based not only on their particularity but also on their pleasantness. In the spirit of the Locanda, the choice of wines by the glass is always wide and constantly rotated.
